Psychologist Marta Korsak
I am a psychologist. I work with people who are going through emotionally difficult moments and need a calm, safe place to begin naming what has become too heavy to carry alone.
I offer psychological support in Bydgoszcz and online. I work with adults, teenagers and young adults who experience depression, low mood, grief, emotional overload, crisis, illness, fear of dying or the burden of accompanying someone close through suffering and loss.
The first conversation does not require a diagnosis, a perfectly organised story or certainty about what should happen next. Sometimes it is enough to feel that carrying everything alone has stopped being possible.

You do not need to know how to name everything right away
A few words about me
My name is Marta Korsak. I am a psychologist and I support people who come with experiences that are often difficult to say out loud: emptiness, loss of meaning, grief, fear, helplessness, emotional exhaustion or the sense that everyday life has become too heavy.
I do not treat psychological support as giving quick advice or ready-made solutions. For me, the beginning of work is often about creating enough safety to name what has been carried alone for too long.
A conversation with a psychologist can be a place where you do not have to pretend that everything is fine. You do not need to speak perfectly, know where to begin or prove that your problem is “serious enough”.
What is important to me in psychological work
In my work, I value careful listening, clear boundaries and respect for the pace of the person who comes for support. I do not assume in advance what you should feel, decide or change.
The conversation can begin with what is most present now: sadness, tension, grief, fear, exhaustion, uncertainty or simply the sentence: “I do not know what is happening, but I know I do not want to stay with it alone.” I work in a way that is close to a cognitive-behavioral understanding of difficulties, while also taking into account emotions, body reactions, relationships and the context of everyday life. You can read more about my way of working on the page How I work. A general explanation of talking therapies is available on the NHS page about talking therapies.
Calm conversation
Without pressure, without judgment and without the need to say everything at once.
Attention to pace
Not every topic can be brought up immediately. There is also room for uncertainty and silence in the conversation.
Looking for what may help
This is not about quick recipes. It is about gradually understanding the situation and looking for what may genuinely be helpful.
What the first psychological consultation looks like
The first psychological consultation is not an exam or a conversation you need to prepare for in a special way. You do not need to know exactly where to begin. You can say as much as feels possible at that moment.

During the first meeting, I will listen to what has become difficult, uncomfortable, painful or postponed for too long. We can talk about what is happening now, how long the difficulty has been present, how it affects your life and what you may need in the near future. The aim is not to assess the situation quickly, but to understand it calmly. If during the conversation it turns out that another form of help would be more appropriate, we can discuss possible next steps.
Who this support may be for
You may consider psychological support if you feel that everyday functioning has started to cost too much. You do not need a ready diagnosis or certainty that “this is serious enough”. Sometimes the important signal is simply that it is becoming harder to carry everything alone.
I work with people who experience low mood, emptiness, loss, grief, life crisis, illness or the experience of accompanying someone close through illness and dying.

Practical information
I offer in-person sessions as a psychologist in Bydgoszcz and also provide online sessions. The form of the meeting depends on your situation, possibilities and preferences. If, for different reasons, contact with an online psychologist is easier for you, you can choose that form of meeting.
Sessions: 50 minutes
Format: in person / online
Fee: 300 zł
Contact: by phone, email or contact form
After a phone message, email or contact form submission, I reply within 48 hours. In the first message, it is enough to write that you would like to schedule a conversation, indicate your preferred form of meeting and add a few words about what brings you here. You do not need to describe everything in detail.
You do not need to know everything right away
If you feel that this description is close to your situation, you can start with one conversation. You do not need ready answers or certainty about how to name what is happening. Sometimes the first step is simply saying: “I am struggling and I would like to talk about it with someone.”
You can use the contact form, send an email or call. I reply within 48 hours.
